This week Gigi had the following for dinner:
Monday: I can't remember.
Tuesday: Dorritos
Wednesday: Grilled tuna - that she didn't eat. So I made her PB&J.
Thursday: Mashed potatoes and gravy - that she didn't really eat.
Friday: Oh, we went to Eat'n Park for Riley's birthday, so she ate of the salad bar: cottage cheese and shredded cheese.
Saturday: Cheese quesadilla
Today is Sunday, and while we haven't had dinner yet, I can tell you that she had Christmas cookies for breakfast.
#MomFail
So , since I commented to this one on the storage page, here I will comment that rotating toys is the way to go!
ReplyDeleteSomehow, children seem to survive on little or nothing sometimes. And when they do eat, it is so infrequently what we'd like them to. I still have "mommy guilt" over the vast amounts of fast food and restaurant kids' meals my kids have consumed. There are little if any vegetables involved in that, although we have started making better fast food choices, choosing milk over soda and yogurt or apples over fries. Sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI have two healthy, smart, well-adjusted children. At least, as well-adjusted as pre-teens can be. They've had Ho-Ho's for breakfast, and I promise you it hasn't been three months ago that we had popcorn for dinner. With extra butter.
Sure, it's a mom fail. And sure, we will try to do better. But sometimes, just keeping them fed is enough... we'll make up for it next week. In the meantime, the kids will be home soon, and I have a million things to get done, including dinner. I don't think I finished the Doritos last night...
